Thai Chili Lime Meatballs

Pre-season is almost over and the regular NFL season is about to begin. Whether you will rooting for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or another team, food is important. In order to bring something new to the game table, we present “Game Day Thai Chili Line Meatballs.” Just make sure you make enough to feed the whole team.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of Italian bread crumbs
  • 1/4cup packed cilantro
  • 1 lb. ground turkey thigh or breast. Or ground chuck. Your choice.
  • 1/2cup sweet and sour sauce
  • Juice from 1 lime

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 375ËšF. Line a sheet tray with parchment paper and set aside.

2. Add the 1/2 cup of Italian breadcrumbs to a bowel.

3. Add the lime zest, packed cilantro and ground turkey to the bowl and pulse until well mixed.

4. Using a tablespoon, scoop the turkey mixture and roll into balls, placing each on the parchment lined sheet.

5. Drizzle a tiny bit of oil over the meatballs.

6. Bake for 15-16 minutes or until the meatballs turn light golden brown.

7. In a small saucepan, warm the sweet and sour sauce and lime juice.

8. Place the meatballs in a bowl for serving and pour the warmed sweet and sour mix over the top. Serve with toothpicks and enjoy!
