Q: What natural substance can be used for pain relief? A: Ice and/or heat are natural pain relievers. Ice has an anti-inflammatory effect and heat helps with relaxation. Often ice and heat are used alternatively to get the benefit of both effects. For example, with a simple muscle sprain, 15 -20 minutes of an ice pack is used to counter inflammation and then followed with a heating pad to encourage muscle relaxation.

Hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ) is a thiazide diuretic (water pill) that decreases the amount of fluid in your body by increasing the amount of salt and water you lose in your urine.
