I started using Resperate a little over a yr ago. My bp was not being controlled with 20 ml. Lisinopril. It was in the 170/100 range with 189/101 not being uncommon. I started with RespeRate using it every day, or twice a day. I started taking 500 ml. SloNiacin twice a day in additon to using the machine. My bp dropped to between 125/70-111/65. I no longer take any medication and have lost the 30 lbs I gained when on Lisinopril. I cant thank you enough for the machine. ( I love the little man's voice)

I have been using medication for high blood pressure for over 30 years and I have used most of the ones out there - diuretics , beta blockers etc. etc. I am presently on 100mg atenolol, 10 mg norvasc, 20 mg Lisinopril, and using the resperate for 15 to30 minutes daily. I have brought down my pressure from 212/99 to an average of 135/60 in the last 3 months although some days the pressure will go as high as 175/75.
I am hoping to lower it more so that I can get off some of this medication that most of the times make me sick, and have to change . I am 62, I exercise regularly and only about 5 lbs over weight, At least since using the resperate I can climb a hill….which is a blessing and will continue to use it in the hopes of improving.

I am 34 years old and after having my daughter 4 years ago I was diagnosed with hypertension. I did not think I was going to get it because I have always been healthy but unfortunately it runs in my family. Well I have tried so many different b/p meds like cozaar, lisinopril, labetolol, maxzide and they all had such horrible side effects. They would range from a cough that won't go away to always feeling tired and down to numbness in my hands and legs. I was at the point were I prefer to deal with the hypertension than the side effects.
Well my husband and I decided several weeks ago we want to have another child but I wanted to get my bp under control. I went to the doctor who took me off of my medicines to see how high my blood pressure would go and to use meds more appropriate for pregnancy. While sitting online looking for books about b/p I saw this advertisement for the resperate which I saw a month a go but was skeptical. I decided to give it a try.
My b/p ranged from 140's/90's after just one week of using reperate and maintaing my sodium intake to no more than 2000mg a day my b/p now is 110's/70's. I wanted to cry I tried so many things even the sodium restriction only and that didn't work. On my 4 days off I use the machine twice at 15 min each session and on the 3 days I work I only do one 15 session. I feel so alive and more alert and full of energy now that I do not have to take b/p meds. I also feel it helps to relax me especially when having to deal with the stress of everyday life it is a good get away for me. So I am excited to go to my follow up appointment in a week and let the doctor know about resperate. Thank You so much resperate I am truly greatful.

I'm 67 years old and I've been using your device for about 5 years now. I monitor my blood pressure carefully; I take a reading at least once a day. I can say that I've been able to stabilize my blood pressure with Resperate and I'm very happy with it. I have to admit, I do use it more than you recommend. I use it typically anywhere from 20 minutes to 30 minutes each day. Many years ago before I started using it, I would only diet and exercise regularly (I swim every day) but my readings would never come down below 130/140 systolic and this was very frustrating. Then I found Resperate on the internet when I saw one of your ads on Yahoo and shortly after that I started doing research on it. I Googled blood pressure, read articles that talked about Resperate, saw that the Mayo Clinic wrote about it. I also checked out the clinical data from your site, I printed and read about 40 pages of that. Basically, I did my homework on the device and came to the conclusion that it was worth a try. Long story short, I started using it, combined it with my diet and exercise program; I now get regular constant readings in the 120's systolic and my blood pressure is completely under control and most importantly it has remained control. My doctor's also very pleased with it, I was to able to avoid going on blood pressure medicine and I'm very grateful for that. As people age their blood pressure can easily elevate but years have passed, I've continued using Resperate and my blood pressure remains normal- I'm very happy about that. This is an amazing and absolutely incredible invention. To this day, I'm still in shock that someone was able to come up with Resperate.
All I can really say is, Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Jillian, CA This device has really made a difference! I didn't have to take any medication thanks to RESPeRATE. I first heard of this device quite a while ago on television during a news segment; that was before I was diagnosed with high blood pressure. I didn't need it back then but it did stick in my mind. Unfortunately sometime after that I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and I decided to give this a try in order to avoid having to go on meds. Before I purchased it I did some research on it, I looked at the information on the website, signed up for the 10 Tips and checked out some independent opinions. After liking what I heard about the breathing-related principles behind the machine I bought it and it worked. Before I started using it my blood pressure was up in the 150's, this is mainly because I had sciatica. I was then told to consider medicine to get my blood pressure down, I told them no thanks, no medicine for me...I went about getting it down on my own, used this machine and it did the trick, I really can't say enough good things about this device.

Dear Resperate, I just want to thank you for your fast, helpful, and professional customer service in servicing my resperate device. I have come to use resperate 5+ times a week (with great results) and appreciate your recent help. I'm a psychologist by trade and I've recommended your website to many of my colleagues. I have also recommended the device to my patients, and they too are finding good results. My blood pressure had been normal for most of my life (120/60) until all of a sudden it started creeping up into the high range (130's/80's); this is when I found and started to use Resperate; this was about 2 years ago. After a few weeks of using it I began to see it go back down into the normal range. I've also found it to be great for relaxation. I use it in the mornings, sometimes even up to an hour. I also try to fit it in at mid-afternoon between patients for about 15-20 minutes each time. Since I started using it I've been keeping a chart of my usage and I've done a few personal experiments comparing meditation to using the Resperate. I've found that meditation alone cannot provide the same results that I get when I use Resperate. To further prove this, I have a friend of mine who's a psychiatrist; he had high blood pressure and had been meditating for 30 years but could not get his blood pressure down. I introduced him to Resperate and sure enough, turned him into a believer.Once again, I just want to reiterate that you guys are terrific; your service department went above and beyond the call of duty for me and deserves a lot of credit in helping me attain success with Resperate.

Resperate appears to be trying to get me to do a number of things. Breathe slowly, have the exhalation longer than the inhalation and take deep breaths. Which is the most important? If I am driving in my car or am calm somewhere else should I practice...

Why does my heart beat seem faster in the morning?

Topic - prescription medication

Q: Why does my heart beat seem to be faster when I wake in the morning? A: When you are asleep, the body is at rest and has lower oxygen needs. Your heart does not have to work as hard. With awakening you become active, your oxygen needs increase, and your heart beats faster.

Who would think that breathing slowly would reduce blood pressure? On the surface it seems unconnected with the phenomena in question. However, if one was to dig deeper and research the subject, one finds lots of reasons to think that it might. Of course, the ultimate test for a scientist is to actually try it. More than just try it. In the scientific study we have to control for random factors, control for biases, control for Hawthorne effect, placebo effect, and other experimental risks. But the beginning of science is not in the controlled,...
