Concurrently to his role as InterCure's Chairman, he holds several other leadership positions in Israel's high-tech sectors, including: Chairman of Enzymotec Ltd., a biotech startup company; Chairman of Naiot Technological Center, the most successful startup incubator in Israel; consultant to the top management of United Mizrahi Bank relating to it's activities in lending to the high-tech sector. From 1987 to 1995, Mr. Plotkin served as Senior Vice President of Industry and Business Development for Israel Chemicals Ltd., the largest chemical company in Israel, with annual revenues of $2 billion. In that capacity, he was in charge of corporate development strategy, research and development policies, industrial investment programs, joint ventures and acquisitions. He led the entry of Israel Chemicals into high-tech areas, including pharmaceuticals, employing a startup strategy which yielded impressive returns for the corporation. During his term at Israel Chemicals, he led more than 15 international deals involving joint ventures, acquisitions, and licensing agreements. Mr. Plotkin has a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School. Susan DenisonMs. Denison is a partner of Cook Associates, a retained executive search firm. She is also on the Board of Directors of Omnicom Group (NYSE: OMC), one of the world's largest advertising, marketing and corporate communications companies. Ms. Denison has more than twenty years of senior executive experience within Media, Entertainment and Consumer Products. She was Executive Vice President, Entertainment and Marketing for Madison Square Garden, Executive Vice President / General Manager for Showtime Networks' Direct-To-Home Division and Senior Vice President, Revlon. Previously, Ms. Denison held marketing positions at Charles of the Ritz, Clairol and Richardson-Vicks. A native of Connecticut, Ms. Denison received her MBA from Harvard University, an MA in Psychology from the University of Rochester and her BA in Psychology from Connecticut College where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and graduated Cum Laude. Benjamin Gavish, Ph.D.Co-Founder and Chief Scientific OfficerDr. Benjamin Gavish is the inventor of InterCure's technologies. He co-founded the company in 1994, and is responsible for the company's research and development, patenting, regulatory applications, and the enrollment of the company's world-class Scientific Advisory Board. Dr. Gavish has had numerous appointments, including the Katchalsky Postdoctorate Fellowship at the Weizmann Institute, a Fullbright Fellowship and Assistant Professorship at the University of Illinois, and an Allon Fellowship at the Hebrew University -- Hadassah Medical School. Throughout his career, he has concentrated his research activities in biophysics and biomedical engineering, with a particular focus on protein biophysics, ultrasound biophysics, small blood vessels, blood rheology, and non-invasive monitoring. Dr. Gavish is currently working on the mechanisms associated with the therapeutic effect of breathing exercises and on new characterizations of blood vessel properties using non-invasive measurements. He has numerous patents, mainly in biomedical engineering, and has published more than 40 scientific papers, mostly in leading journals of different branches of science and technology. Dr. Gavish has served as the President and the Secretary of the Israeli Society for Microcirculation, and is a member of the International, American and the Israeli Societies of Hypertension and the American Heart Association Council for High Blood Pressure Research. Ehud Geller, Ph.D.Ehud Geller, PhD, Board Member. Dr. Geller is General Partner and Founder of Medica Venture Partners, a premier healthcare venture fund in Israel. Dr. Ehud Geller has been active in the health care/biopharma and life science industries for over 25 years. The former president and CEO of Interpharm Laboratories, Ltd., he presided over the growth of this company from the seed stage to $18 million in revenues. Prior to that, Dr. Geller was the president of the Pharmaceutical Division of Teva and Executive VP of the Teva Group, Israel's largest pharmaceutical company. Guy EmodiGuy Emodi currently serves as the CFO of Playtech, the world's largest publicly traded online gaming software supplier. In addition to being a member of InterCure's Board of Directors, Mr. Emodi serves on the Board, Audit and Investment Committees of the Marathon Investment Fund and Institute for Business Administration. Prior to his extensive professional and academic careers, he served as a Chief Instructor in the Israeli Air Force Hawk Missiles School. Yoram EvanYoram Evan has a B.A. degree in Economics and an M.B.A. both from Tel-Aviv University. Q: Can vitamins and/or garlic pills interfere with BP and depression meds? A: Interactions are always possible, especially when you are taking more than three different medications or supplements. Your doctor needs to know all supplements that you are taking to help prevent serious interactions from occurring. Just because a vitamin, herbal, or supplement doesn't require a prescription, does not mean it is harmless.
