Can calcium deficiency have an impact on high blood pressure?

 Diets low in calcium increase the risk of high blood pressure.  It is very important to make sure you are receiving enough calcium.  Calcium supplementation has proven in many studies to not be as effective as eating foods high in calcium.   You need to eat foods containing the recommended amount of daily calcium.  A great source of calcium is non-fat or low-fat yogurt and eating one to two servings a day has demonstrated positive results for those with high blood pressure.  Many green leafy vegetables also contain a lot of calcium.
