Daniel Plotkin
Chairman

Daniel Plotkin has served as an active chairman of InterCure since joining the company shortly after its foundation. Mr. Plotkin brings decades of experience in high level industrial and technology management.

Concurrently to his role as InterCure's Chairman, he holds several other leadership positions in Israel's high-tech sectors, including: Chairman of Enzymotec Ltd., a biotech startup company; Chairman of Naiot Technological Center, the most successful startup incubator in Israel; consultant to the top management of United Mizrahi Bank relating to it's activities in lending to the high-tech sector.

From 1987 to 1995, Mr. Plotkin served as Senior Vice President of Industry and Business Development for Israel Chemicals Ltd., the largest chemical company in Israel, with annual revenues of $2 billion. In that capacity, he was in charge of corporate development strategy, research and development policies, industrial investment programs, joint ventures and acquisitions. He led the entry of Israel Chemicals into high-tech areas, including pharmaceuticals, employing a startup strategy which yielded impressive returns for the corporation. During his term at Israel Chemicals, he led more than 15 international deals involving joint ventures, acquisitions, and licensing agreements.

Mr. Plotkin has a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.

Susan Denison

Ms. Denison is a partner of Cook Associates, a retained executive search firm. She is also on the Board of Directors of Omnicom Group (NYSE: OMC), one of the world’s largest advertising, marketing and corporate communications companies. Ms. Denison has more than twenty years of senior executive experience within Media, Entertainment and Consumer Products. She was Executive Vice President, Entertainment and Marketing for Madison Square Garden, Executive Vice President / General Manager for Showtime Networks’ Direct-To-Home Division and Senior Vice President, Revlon. Previously, Ms. Denison held marketing positions at Charles of the Ritz, Clairol and Richardson-Vicks.

A native of Connecticut, Ms. Denison received her MBA from Harvard University, an MA in Psychology from the University of Rochester and her BA in Psychology from Connecticut College where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and graduated Cum Laude.

Benjamin Gavish, Ph.D.
Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer

Dr. Benjamin Gavish is the inventor of InterCure's technologies. He co-founded the company in 1994, and is responsible for the company's research and development, patenting, regulatory applications, and the enrollment of the company's world-class Scientific Advisory Board.

Dr. Gavish has had numerous appointments, including the Katchalsky Postdoctorate Fellowship at the Weizmann Institute, a Fullbright Fellowship and Assistant Professorship at the University of Illinois, and an Allon Fellowship at the Hebrew University -- Hadassah Medical School. Throughout his career, he has concentrated his research activities in biophysics and biomedical engineering, with a particular focus on protein biophysics, ultrasound biophysics, small blood vessels, blood rheology, and non-invasive monitoring.

Dr. Gavish is currently working on the mechanisms associated with the therapeutic effect of breathing exercises and on new characterizations of blood vessel properties using non-invasive measurements. He has numerous patents, mainly in biomedical engineering, and has published more than 40 scientific papers, mostly in leading journals of different branches of science and technology. Dr. Gavish has served as the President and the Secretary of the Israeli Society for Microcirculation, and is a member of the International, American and the Israeli Societies of Hypertension and the American Heart Association Council for High Blood Pressure Research. Dr. Gavish received his Ph.D. in Solid State Physics from Tel Aviv University in 1974

Erez Gavish
President and CEO

Erez Gavish co-founded the company in 1994 together with Dr. Benjamin Gavish, the inventor of the technology.

Mr. Gavish is the creator and driving force behind InterCure's business and its strategic product vision, as well as providing overall leadership for the company. With limited human and capital resources, he has managed to steer InterCure successfully through the processes of product development and clinical trials, regulatory approvals, and finance rounds. Under his leadership, the company turned into a highly attractive and valuable medical technology enterprise.

Mr. Gavish is a respected entrepreneur in Israel, particularly in the medical technology arena. He has advised several venture-stage healthcare companies on strategy and business models. Before founding InterCure, Mr. Gavish worked for five years as an industrial consultant for Yissum Engineering Systems Ltd. and Pomegreen & Co., where he specialized in employee compensation systems and enhancing productivity. He received his B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering with distinction from the Technion -- Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa, and received his M.B.A. in 1997 from The Leon Recanati Graduate School of Business Administration at Tel Aviv University.

Ehud Geller, Ph.D.

Ehud Geller, PhD, Board Member. Dr. Geller is General Partner and Founder of Medica Venture Partners, a premier healthcare venture fund in Israel. Dr. Ehud Geller has been active in the health care/biopharma and life science industries for over 25 years. The former president and CEO of Interpharm Laboratories, Ltd., he presided over the growth of this company from the seed stage to $18 million in revenues. Prior to that, Dr. Geller was the president of the Pharmaceutical Division of Teva and Executive VP of the Teva Group, Israel's largest pharmaceutical company. Earlier, Dr. Geller conducted pharmaceutical research at Wyeth Laboratories in the U.S. Dr. Geller has a B.Sc. degree in chemical engineering, an MBA from Columbia University, and a Ph.D. degree in pharma/chemical engineering from Drexel Institute. He serves as founder and director of biotech and device health care companies.

Takayuki Amada

Takayuki Amada is a General Manager at Nippon Venture Capital Co., Ltd. (NVCC), one of Japan’s leading venture capital firms with over $642 million under management. Mr. Amada leads NVCC’s cross-border overseas investment teams.

With extensive financial and business development experience Mr. Amada provides invaluable assistance to the Company as it partners in Japan. Also Mr. Amada is actively involved in several cross-border deals of healthcare industry, such as American Cancer Center, Ltd. (as a board member, USA-China; Operating the cancer treatment center in China), SpectraGenics, Inc. (as former board member, USA; Development of consumer esthetic medical device)

Mr. Amada holds a B.A. in economics from Yokohama National University.

Arie Ovadia, Ph.D.

Dr. Arie Ovadia advises major Israeli companies on finance, accounting and valuations and is a member of the board of directors of several corporations, including Israel Discount Bank, Phoenix Insurance Company, Elite Industries, Israel Petrochemical Industries and Tediran Communications. He has taught at New York University (New York, NY), Temple University (Philadelphia, PA) and, in Israel, at Tel Aviv and Bradford Universities.

Dr. Ovadia serves as a member of the Israeli Accounting Board and is a 14-year member of the Israeli Security Authority. He holds an undergraduate degree and an MBA from Tel Aviv University and earned his Ph.D. in economics from Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Isaac M. Silvera


Isaac Silvera is the Executive Vice President and CFO of Spencer Gifts LLC, a lifestyle retailer with over 600 stores in North America. Prior thereto, he was a Managing Director and Principal of Palladin Capital Group, Inc., a private equity firm specializing in retail, consumer products and related technology investments. Prior to joining Palladin in 1998, Mr. Silvera served as Vice President of Rosecliff, Inc., a private equity firm he joined in 1994. At Rosecliff, Mr. Silvera lead investments in and served on the boards of companies in the distribution, retail and manufacturing industries. From 1992 to 1994, Mr. Silvera was a member of the WSW Fund, a $250 million merchant banking fund co-sponsored by Schroders and Time Warner.

Previously, Mr. Silvera was a member of the Investment Banking division of Schroders.

Guy Emodi

Guy Emodi currently serves as the CFO of Playtech, the world’s largest publicly traded online gaming software supplier. Prior to joining Playtech, he served as the CEO of Ocif India LTD and the Director of Finance, CFO and Head of Economics & Planning at Partner Communications LTD. During his tenure at Partner Communications LTD, he led the Sarbanes-Oxley Act team, represented PFC on the portfolio’s boards of directors, and was a key team member in financing their Senior Secured Bank Credit Facility, Hi Yield Offering and IPO.

From 1994-1998, Mr. Emodi served as an Executive assistant to the chairman at Danker Investments LTD, where he was responsible for the valuation process of potential new investments and supported the Group Subsidiaries’ public offerings. From 1991-1994, Mr. Emodi served as a Senior Economist of Economics & Planning at Israel Chemicals LTD and was responsible for economic controls and the management reporting of international subsidiaries. There he also served as a member of the “Privatization Team,” IPO Team, and Board of P.M. Chemicals and PAMA Energy Solutions LTD.

In addition to being a member of InterCure’s Board of Directors, Mr. Emodi serves on the Board, Audit and Investment Committees of the Marathon Investment Fund and Institute for Business Administration. He has a B.A. dual degree in Economics and Business Administration from The Recanati School of Management at Tel Aviv University and an M.B.A. from London Business School. Prior to his extensive professional and academic careers, he served as a Chief Instructor in the Israeli Air Force Hawk Missiles School.

Yoram Evan

Yoram Evan has a B.A. degree in Economics and an M.B.A. both from Tel-Aviv University. Over the years, he has held various high-profile positions including his latest tenure as CEO of USA Detergents Inc., a consumer packaged goods company specializing in laundry and household cleaning products.

Prior to USA Detergents Inc., Mr. Evan served as the CFO and VP of Operations at nXpansion, CFO of American Value Brands Inc., Managing Partner of Newton Investments Ltd., and Senior Economist at the Israeli Government’s Ministry of Finance Budget Department.

Prior to his vast professional career, Mr. Evan served in the Israeli Army as a Major, Lieutenant and Deputy Commander of the Special Paratroopers’ battalion and Special Infantry Unit.
